Maha Shivaratri / Shiva / Hinduism

➤Maha Shivaratri is one of the most important festivals in Nepal. Maha Shivaratri means the night of Shiva. This festival is celebrated especially in the world to commemorate the removal of ignorance and darkness.

Although there are many versions about the origin of this festival, it is said that the marriage of Lord Shiva to Parvati and the victory of truth over untruth is celebrated. When does Shivaratri fall (February / March) one day before the new moon or new moon?

Due to the New Moon (Waning Moon), this day is the darkest night of the year. There is a kind of energy within the human system that determines a definite upliftment of every life.

Shivaratri is considered as an important festival for people who walk on the spiritual path. This festival also plays an important role for the family and the aspirants.

On this day, the road is blocked and there is a huge crowd, so people go to the temple in the morning without seeing the light of God. Devotees do such things as fasting, burning in front of the fire, barking all night long, and barking for the great death. Devotees from various allied countries flock to celebrate this festival, which can be seen in large numbers of naked saints from India.

                                            Churning the sea

According to paradigmatic beliefs, celebrating Shivaratri also has a distinct identity. When the demons and the gods started fighting for nectar, the three gods gave them the means to churn the sea. While churning the sea, the whole world was destroyed by the poison called halahal.

Seeing this situation, the gods and demons started shouting in fear, but Shiva drank the poison called Halahal. Seeing this, all the gods and demons were overjoyed.
