This is also called Raksha Bandhan. Because this festival observes the bond of purity and security. This festival is celebrated by Hindu devotees all over the world. The two words Janai and Purni have their own meanings. Janai means "thread" and Purnima means "full moon". Janai means a sacred thread that follows the path of religion and truth along with the identity of a man. It basically means an informal process of accepting someone into a religion.

➤Janai is a pure thread which is worn on the chest by a Brahmin chanting the purification mantra after bratbandha. This holy festival has different types of bratbandha in almost all religions but is known by different names. Accepting the mantra given by your guru, along with the order never to separate this thread from you, some mantra is received by the guru which should be recited in the morning and evening. It is believed that a person who follows this practice has complete control over his body and mind. The old janai should be cleaned once a year by changing the days of Raksha Bandhan.
What do we do in Janai Purnima?
➤You should take a bath one day before Janai Purnima and clean your hair by cutting your beard and nails. Only one meal is eaten on this day. Which is also called fasting. On this day, things like meat and onions are completely opposed. Only fruits and vegetables are eaten.
It is customary to clean the gram bean curd and soak it in clean water and eat it on the day of kwati and Janai Purnima. Satvik food is prescribed by all Hindus for rituals and festivals. Fasting on this day is believed to overcome major accidents. In villages and cities, the family pandit performs puja at home and also wear pure shirts.
What is Raksha Bandhan Doro?
➤Raksha Bandhan means "defense" and Bandhan means "tie or bond". This is a type of thread that is tied around the hand. On this day, it is customary for a brother to keep it from his sister's hand. Also, the brother gives a gift to the sister for wearing Rakhi and the sister gives a sweet gift to the brother. These festivals are found to be similar to the festivals of Bhaitika. The barrier of a brother who is always ready to provide security to his sister starts from this day.
On this day, even if the child is like a man or a woman, you can see a dairy around their wrists, which is called (sacred colored) thread. This thread is usually tied to the right hand. People wear this thread with the belief that tying this thread will bring good luck. This thread is worn by people till Diwali and is tied to the tail of the cow on the day of cow worship.
